As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread across the world, social distancing has become the norm in public and private life. People are being encouraged and/or required to practice social distancing from non-household members when outside of the home.

Additional requirements include wearing a mask outside of the home when 6 feet of distance can’t be maintained, and in most states, gathering in groups is prohibited.

In the midst of this pandemic, it’s hard tokeep yourself and your kids safe and saneat the same time. Social distancing seems like a reasonable precaution, but it comes at a price. Many people – especially moms – are starting to feel isolated, cut off from the world, and depressed.

Whether you’ve always been a stay-at-home mom or the COVID-19 layoffs have turned you into one, here’s why blogging will help you beat the blues.

  1. Blogging keeps you in touch with the world

If you can’t visit your friends and family members in person, connecting online is the next best thing. By publishing your own personal blog, you can write about what you’re thinking, feeling, and any projects you’re working on. Then you can get on social media and share the links with your friends and family.

Blogging isn’t a perfect substitute for real-world connections, but it will help you stay in touch with the world. If you publish good content, you’ll develop a fan base and meet even more people to connect with over shared interests.
